Like many voluntary charitable organisations, Scouting too relies on background support. Unlike the uniformed leaders who often receive feedback from the youngsters for their voluntary contribution, the members of the Group Exec provide much needed support without much praise or thanks.

The 28th now has a small  Executive team. Its strength is in raising funds to maintain and improve the Scout hall, and to build links with the wider community. The increased usage of the hall over the past couple of years proves the worth of these relationships.

The Exec welcomes assistance and participation from any parents, former members or friends of the Group who feel willing and able to give their time and/or services.  If a hall full of kids is not your cup of tea, try us instead.
